Default tiny improvement to my best.

Nothing to write home about.

Made it down to HRP tonight. No idea off the top of my head what the DA was , but it was freaking HOT & HUMID.

Was in a hurry to start making passes, teched , hit the lanes, and made my first run. Feels real good out of the hole..as I'm focusing down track I'm waiting for the shift light to come on..it doesn't...I instinctively just make the shift, still tap the limiter, same thing on the 2-3... and I'm all over the limiter on this one. As I'm entering the traps I glance my eyes over , and take a direct look at the minilight...I got the F$%ggin cap on the damn thing still. ( "PaiN" please take two steps forward to the head of the ...DUH line! ) I get out of it before I push the limiter again as I'm into the traps. no new best here for et. But this is probably the farthest the car has aired the front tires, and only with a 1.44 60'.

I'm pissed decided to rip around for a hot-lap. tear off the shiftlight cap. Burnout/stage/launch... plenty of spin, get the *** a little sideways. Never let out, make the shift a little more *** out. Do the 2-3... blammo its like the *** end breaks loose..and starts creeping around...I shut it down

Back to the pits... do a little cooldown. then make a 3rd pass. 1.44 60 10.256 @ 133.35 Guys watching the launch for me said it still looked like I was spinning some. I went and watched some of the other cars run...lots of cars seems to be having issues with wheel spin. Track just didn't seem to be hooking to well. I packed it up.

Pleased overall... Getting much more comfortable with the t-brake. Think I may need a wee bit more stall, but I think I'm gonna focus more on getting seat time, and practice on the lights, and just racing in general.

Was good seeing you up there James, Did you send any more race cars home early after we left?

Larry

DAMN!!!133 in that weather?!? You're ALOT closer to me than you might think! No, I haven't been to the track in the summer but I bet that is about what I'd trap.

Congrats! Come cool weather I bet you'll be taking over my hydraulic cam record. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Yeah Larry it was great to finally meet you your Dad. I only wished I had been at the launch pad with my camera. The wife saw it and said it was the most aggresive high wheeled launch she had seen since the Emmons Boy drug the lic. plate off his *** end. The track was definitely in bad shape. That was the first time to the track with my new 15x10 and new ET Streets. I managed to pull one 1.61 60 ft but it went down hill from there. In fact I began to wonder if the rear posi unit was giving way.I cound hear and feel the tires ripping on the launch.

I sent two trailer cars home early until I had a big block Vega, that no one wanted to line up against, crack my ***. He cracked me good. He turned 10.10 on a 10.10 and cut a .514 light on my .532 and I was off by 4/100s due to mild tire spin. I would have ran my dial in if my 60 ft would have been there, but he had the better light. Oh well , maybe next time. Good luck and I hope to see you soon.

James
