A few pics of the new motor install I updated my Webshots page with some pictures from yesterday's install. I hate to sound vain, but I think the new engine looks awesome with the braided fuel line, big valvecovers, etc... I'll take some more once I really get the mess all cleaned up and everything tuned/dialed in, but for now you can see them by clicking here.

Re: A few pics of the new motor install I made the brackets out of aluminum bar, 1/4" threaded rod, and some chrome plated soft brass pipe to cover the threads...
I'll see if I can get some pictures of just the brackets to come out decent. They're tucked way up underneath the cowl, so I don't know how well they'll photograph...

I also noticed the torque strap. Think it helps any? I had one on my '69 Camaro.

Re: A few pics of the new motor install Thanks guys! I painted the valvecovers the factory color to match the car. I thought about having them powdercoated, but I had all the paint to do them myself, so it made sense to paint them.
One day I may go in and clean/neaten up some, since there is some messy looking stuff under the hood.
For now I'd just rather get the car running right!

The exhaust does not move around and try to bang the floorboard any more, though, and the engine stays in place.
