Re: Tire pressure for ET Streets Start around 15-16 PSI and drop it if you are having traction problems. Some days tracks hook better than others, tire pressure is just something you have to play with every time out.

Re: Tire pressure for ET Streets I ran mine at 11psi, but that was because my track sucks, and on WED. nights they don't prep at all. Well if you count blowing debris off the track with a leaf blower prep then they prep. so far my best 60ft was 1.7. I hooked with dumping my clutch at 4800rpm, then I floored it, broke the tires loose, headed towards the right wall, shifted to second, car turned direction towards centerline, shifted to third ahhh1 got traction and finidhed out my pass 12.5@112mph

Re: Tire pressure for ET Streets Based on where you live, I'm gonna assume that you are going to Milan, in which case I know you are gooing to get shitty traction. Start at 15 psi & work your way down from there.
Interesting reading in the new Car Craft magazine, in that test, on a crappy track, the best hooking came when they lowered the psi down to 10. If you are going down that far, I reccomend that you have the rims screwed. I get great results at Stanton, with 15 psi. But the track prep is alot better there. Good luck.

Re: Tire pressure for ET Streets Start higher like several others have suggested. If you start getting down around 10 psi, esp with a 28" tire, the top end will become a lil slippery <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Re: Tire pressure for ET Streets I have ran as good as a 1.57 60' with 20 psi. Depends too on how well the track is prepped. I ran a 1.69 last Wednesday with 25 psi. With a good burn out and a well prepped track you don't need to run low pressures. Pressure is something you have to test.
