My first time at the track
3/4 Tank of gas full street trim with the Torque Thrusters II's with 315 BFG Drag Radials. Track Temp damn hot.
First pass forgot to let some air out of the tires
RT 1.032 (Dave threw me a pillow)
60 2.041
1/4 13.01
MPH 109.36
Second Pass tires at 24# did a one wheel burnout so I got no traction on my launch
RT .564
60 2.107 (Let off because I was spinning bad)
1/4 13.68
MPH 107.86
Third pass. Tires at 20#. Perfect launch this one felt good.
RT .665
60 1.72
1/4 12.39
MPH 109.34
So there you have it. I didn't run anymore after the third run because I figured I could only better the last run by maybe a tenth if I could get my 60' time down to 1.6's, but we all know HD is the Nitto master So I figure in good weather the car has 11.8's in it. And the car ran at the track exactly how it sits on the street. I figure I have a low 12 to high 11 second street car.

I remember racing at MIR when it was 110 degrees. A friend of mine PASSED OUT when putting the DRs on his car LOL!
It was fugging hot.
Cheers,
Chris
ps- In that heat I was down approx 4mph and 4 tenths.

Looking at your 1st and 3rd pass shows why drag racing is all in the 60'.
BTW, I'd stay away from racing with OnyxSS before his luck rubs off on you.

Congrats on popping the cherry. It feels pretty good when the car hooks up for a low 12s run.

Dave has had some bad luck lately, but you know these things happen in threes and I think Dave is on maybe his fourth or so bad experience so things should start looking up for him. Dave just about passed out changing his tires in the pits because of the heat. I can feel his pain. Something is just not right with his tranny. Going to the track with Dave makes me not want to race anymore. LOL.
Thanks Wade and ARE !!!
