Or maybe you needed to play video games more often? And maybe you needed everyone else on the road to hear you playing? That makes sense, I understand know... Or not.
If you want a home entertainment center, install one in your HOME, not in your car. <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

If it was not his first time out, I would say they SUCK!! sorry dude, but that MPH and 1/8 are pretty slow unless your stock.
If your stock I can see because you have 100+ lbs of amps/speakers ect so its possible.
If you want a show car and show car only, more power to you. I personally enjoy looks as well but my cars ext/int is nice already, maybe get some cosmetic stuff or something and maybe spend that $$ on a custome paint job but after you got looks "without adding an exta persons body weight" you should be set and ready to in internal mods.
Get some headers and a little intake system "lid" or something along with a free flowing exhaust and you should be set.

If this was the guy's first time to the track with the car, that isn't so bad.
And as far as the stereo stuff goes, not everyone is insane enough to go as far with their car as other folks do (I'm one of the "other folks" that do whatever for the sake of ET's, but I am in the minority).

Go get some traction
I have personally seen people drop a full second in the 1/4 with a converter.
