Agreed. Stockers should be fine unless your going to be racing a good bit and trying to push the car then you could consider adjustable, but the price goes up...

I have been 1.40s with on stock shocks and springs. I swapped to vikings for the adjustability needed for street/no prep stuff

You can get a good deal on Competition Engineering C2700 drag shocks too. About $100 for a pair. I believe Midwest Chassis has them as well

We do and normally keep them in stock however I too am out of stock currently. The Strange single adjustable are double in cost however more than double of an upgrade from the Comp shocks. Then just a little more money and even bigger upgrade from there is the Viking DA smooth body rears.

Strange Single Rears

@MidwestChassis2 which setting on the comps do you usually use for N/A heads/cam cars?
I believe I have mine set 50/50 currently

With the little bit of adjustment these shocks offer and the little bit of change between the settings 50/50 is pretty much what everyone goes with. Including the fact they are a pain to change the settings.

the oem shocks are not gas filled. If you get budget parts store shocks make sure they are not nitrogen filled because the nitrogen filled are much stiffer than just oil filled ones. If you don't want to spend the money for good double adjustable just get the qa1 stock replacements. I've been down this road. I upgraded twice. I'd save the money and at least get threaded double adjustable. That way in the future you could put springs on them (rear shocks) if you upgrade the suspension.
