(sigh) another new best...
Really, what is he using that doesn't make it stock anymore??
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">He didn't give me a build sheet, but he did say he's using LS6 pistons, ARP bolts, and did a lot of "racers" tricks while he had it apart. Probably lightened up the pistons and used lower tension rings.
Terry, let me get this straight you are running 127 mph @ a raceweight of about 3,250 lbs @ a DA of 2,000+ ft, according to a simple math equation that means your "heads/cam combination" is making approximately 550 hp - and you say your not spraying and have a 346 cid motor, hmmm? That's the equivalent of making about 480 rwhp thru a M6! Damn you've got one helluva set up there!
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I forget that a lot of people on LS1TECH have A.D.D. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I ran 127mph at a raceweight of 3220# in a DA of 1200'. I put down 446rwhp. Those are all facts, not "approximate" calculations. Any formula that says I need over 446rwhp to run 127mph with the above specifications is wrong. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
JS: Not planning on it. I hate driving 2.5 hours to the track, I don't see myself driving 24 hours each way. If you're really interested in racing with me, let's set up something 1/2 way between the East and West coast.
The one I used says you have ~515 flywheel hp to go 127+ which works out pretty good with your 446rwhp dyno.
It also says you could run a 10.6X with that much power at your weight so your car must not be tweaked to perfection yet. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Good job. That car is definately haulin. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
John
i told you i would take your car as far as texas for you, but i guess that would mean i woudnt be able to take my ride...but thats ok...
<strong>Why not sell the 42#s (tuning nightmare) and throw some used SVO 30#ers in? You can get em for $125 a set and they are really easy to dial in.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Where can you get a set for $125?

I figured out that the stock injectors were not keeping up, so I swapped the 42's back in and loaded an injector offset table that Chris Bennight worked up for me. All of the idle/part throttle driveability probs I had before are totally gone. Now I just need to dial in the WOT A/F ratio.
