(sigh) another new best...
This is starting to get old... Anyway I proved to myself that my (mostly stock) suspension is set up great. No major changes since last time out other than adding my ypipe/cutouts in place of the dual 12" extensions. (The car is much quieter with the ypipe on. It added 20#s to my race weight.)
I ran back to back 6.846 (1.460 60' on one, 1.457 60' on the other, ~99 mph both runs), 1/8th mile, 2300' DA. The car was really pulling the wheels up tonight, it was a ton of fun to drive!
It looks like at a decent 1/4 mile track I'd be damn close to a 10.6x run! What does pepper run in the 1/8th in 2300' DA? How about Tony in his big-bad-MTI super mega super stroker? Project F Houston is shaping up nicely.
All I need now is a trip to Sacramento for some 0' DA's and good traction!
To give a little tech input, I believe that the stealth lid is helping me leave harder than the normal lid. I think it gives me more cooler air during the first 60'. I used to dead hook to a 1.50 60', now with the lid and 60# off the front I spin slightly to a 1.45.

LOL...thats freakin awesome Terry!!
I wish I could have been there, but i had to work tonight. And if there are any doubters out there, i have two witnesses that saw those runs Terry, your cars really leaving the line hard for basically the stock suspension that you have.
Congrats on the E.T. Cant wait to see what that Z runs in 0 DA. high 10.5's?

That is hauling *** for that kind of DA... With the 'glide, my car isn't running too much quicker than you in the 1/8th. I hope to pick up some by swapping the TH350 back in.
Was this just an 1/8th mile track you were at?

I'd guess 40rwhp and 500rpm on the peak. It must take some major torque to cut a 1.3 60' time with a 1.82 1st gear and no brake.

Congrads Terry. You just keep getting faster and faster. I would like to see your car at a track that hooks as good as Irwindale and has good air like the dirt pit, 10.50-10.60

Damn that's pretty good your 13:1, solid-roller 346 is running as fast as Campbell's stock shortblock heads/cam car, CONGRATS!

FYI Campbell isn't using a stock shortblock.
John, I run 26x15x10 hoosier drags on 8.5" rims from a 3rd gen (they stick out 2" on each side).
