Default HELP! which lightweight battery WILL start car from trunk?

I was told last time at the track don't come back without a battery shut off and battery box. (I had my stock gm battery in where the spare tire was.

I got the blue moroso sealed airbox and installed it in the trunk where the t tops went, and drilled a hole by my ws6 emblem to mount the arm for my flaming rivver shut off switch, I am running 1/0 wire back to the battery.

my stock battery is junk!

which lightweight battery will start the car from the trunk withOUT any problems?

I am thinking one of the optima's?
price?

I have an el cheapo Discount Auto Parts battery in mine. I don't even remember the CCA rating, but it is a little more than the stocker. It's been in the car for well over 1.5 years, and I've had zero cranking issues with it thus far.

It did seem a little weak after sitting for ~7 months with no motor in the car, but after a charge from my 20 year old NAPA battery charger, all is well again. I have a 1/0 cable as well.

One thing you need to make sure of is that you have a very good ground connection with the relocated battery.

how about this holley battery?

Product images may differ from actual product appearance.
Talk about something that's ''Stone Reliable''!
The dense mat filling provides superior plate support and greater shock and vibration protection than conventional batteries. This dense packing also offers a lower internal resistance, allowing the Holley Annihilator Race Battery to recharge faster, discharge longer and generate greater starting power than other batteries. For its size and weight, there's no better battery that you can buy.

Battery Features:

DC 12-volt design. 800 cold cranking amps (CCA) of power.
1500 amp peak discharge for a full 8 seconds.
Height: 6-13/16'', Length: 9-3/4'', Width: 5-3/16''. Weighs just 31 lbs.
Completely sealed and safe because there's no gas release.
No corrosion because there's no electrolyte to spill.
No maintenance. Can be mounted in any position.
Can be deep cycled hundreds of times.
Silver-plated connectors will accept ring terminals.
Can last 3 - 5 times longer than a conventional battery.
BATTERY HOLD DOWN:
A premium quality, high tech battery demands an equally capable hold down. Crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum, the whole kit wieghs just 3.7lbs.

Note: See ''Battery Accessories'' for required chargers.

I use an Optima yellow top with single 0 battery cable, 2 gauge alternator wire and crimp on ends and it works great. The cool thing about the deep cycle yellow top is you can run it completely dead and it will charge back up fine...nice if you leave an electric water pump or the key on by accident.
