Wheel Stand from Hell!
Anyone have a video or url to the video of the Mustang Fox-Body Coupe that does a wheelstand for what seems like forever, and comes down in the opposite lane? The coupe was in the right lane and came down in the left lane. This video used to be on www.rankinroad.com but that website has since gone defuct.
Were you dragging the rear bumper on the ground?
Thanks for the keeping the file small for us poor dial-up weenies. Awesome video. Did you bring extra underwear to the track?
<strong>Yes it's true! The LS1 crowd has a new wheelie champion, and his name is Mikey! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

What is your curbweight now? If I remember correctly it is pretty high? Looks like that ARE motor combo is making AWESOME power!! <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
Congrats and great driving, you could have driven right over the wall!! hehehehe,
Cheers,

Nothing left but a waistband........
Awesome show, Mike. I'd love to have your problem of too much power to handle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

you may seriously want to consider getting ahold of George Baxter...he was having the same problem last year and made some chassis corrections now he only lifts them a few inches in route to a 9.0 at 15x
Mikey I'd say your car is gonna run awesome in Nov., um but I think its running pretty awesome right now!
Any ideas on keeping the nose down?
You can see the initial lift, and carry...then it just powers it on up.
What was the 60' ... um rear wheel 60' <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> .
The 60' on this run was a 1.495...lol. Some physics major may be able to estimate what it would have been with the front tires.
Mike
Thats a serious wheel stand Mikey
Car looks very impressive
JS
I had to watch that about 10 times... intense.
I got kicked off the track doing that on a BIKE. I can't imagine doing that in a car!!

Mike</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well after long hours on the calculator I think I've figured out what your 60ft was on that run give or take. Approx. 1.OHCHIT!!!!
This is the equation I used to determine this if anyone else is interested.
Mikey's foot+InsaneLS1power x traction One big FN wheelie
------------------------------------------ + Extra pair of underwear x 60ft<front wheels = 1.OHCHIT!!!
Good track prep + Good DA
