Default 01 LS1 in 91 Z28: Back to the track with 3.73's

<img src="http://www.speartech.com/91Z28LS1_drag_launch8_28_02.jpg" alt=" - " />

I took the 91 Z28 back to Muncie Dragway on Wed. night to see how it would do with 3.73 gears instead of 2.73's that were in it. Actually it wasn't a whole lot quicker, but the temp and humidity were higher also. I made four passes.

#1) 11.93 @ 114.38 1.682 60'
#2) 11.86 @ 114.57 1.641 60'
#3) 11.88 @ 114.27 1.635 60'
#4) 11.91 @ 114.28 1.668 60'

All in all I'm quite pleased, but I thought I'd maybe see some quicker times going from 2.73 to 3.73. Last time out with the 2.73's the car went 11.92 (three in a row!) all at 115+ mph, but like I say, it was cooler out then.
I think when the cool weather arrives it may go 11.7x @ 116. Just a guess. There is still plenty of little things to do to the car, also!

Very nice! Like you said, the weather was better when you ran with your 2.73s, so I bet in the end you'll see possibly 2-3 tenths improvement from that 2.73 to 3.73 swap. What converter are you running?
