Man I hope my new set up will be ready. It will be close but it should be. I won't have much time to dial it in but I don't care, I just want to attend abd have fun. Where is everyone staying?

Barring a death in the family, a terroist attack on Troy, AL, or a major breakdown right at the last minute, I'll be there!

I hope to be running a slightly more ambitious setup by then.

Registration is looking good and several more have come through in the past few days. I think we have over 40 people registered so far...not bad with still 2 months to go!

Remember, pre-registered cars that are pre-paid only will be allowed to move to the front of the line at the gate with no waiting.

Also, It doesn't look like the Corvette classes are filling out at all... we are going to try to gauge the interest in this for a week or so and make a decision at that point if there will be enough to keep these classes. If anyone knows of any Corvettes that are interested, please point them in the direction of www.thundershootout.com.

Thanks!
Angie

I have been pumped about this race ever since I found out about it! I'll be there, no doubt. I would like to get there in time to run some brackets Friday night as well, but we'll have to see when I can get out of town. WE NEED MORE ENTRIES FOR STREET STOCK AUTOMATIC! There are way too many cammed autos out there with stock heads to NOT have a good turnout in this class. Let's go people! This should be a pretty cut-throat class!

Kristi - I'll call ya later on the motel situation. I'd like to stay at the same place that you and John are.

Angie - You can also put me down in MS/A if Paul is still up for me running his hooptie.

A friend of mine is trying to get me to go to this and I think I will.

I'll have to check that street stock auto class.

Will have to put on some weight to get to 3500lbs tho...

Mike - You might check with Joe K. on that as well; he'll be the main tech guy. I think it will be considered as a cutout, though, but don't quote me.

Lane - DO IT! SS/A will be a FUN class to run in. BTW, I'll be making a visit to your shop in October for a set of 15" BFG's.

That's cool, Trevor. I'll look for a hotel in BR and let you know what I come up with. We don't want to stay where everyone else does this time, you remember how bad parking was at the hotel for NFRA, and then the... ahem... partiers at 4 AM in the parking lot

We are really pumped up about this. We're gonna trailer the car because we hope to be abusing the stock rearend by then We're having our trailer painted to match the truck next month... bling bling

Kristi, you should check on the hotels in Gonzales. It will save you 20-30 minutes of driving that you would have from Baton Rouge.

HAHAHA! Yeah, I do remember a few different incidents from the NFRA. I don't think the "happenin'" Travelodge wanted any of us back for a future stay. I think it was Joseph's case of crabs from the bed comforter. Just let me know whatever you two decide, and I'll book a room at the same place, vacancy providing. Jason and Joseph will be there again, too, with the C5. Jason's goal is to run 12's N/A with the tow-truck Friday night. It sounds like you'll be rollin' in pimp style w/ the matching trailer. I wonder how my trailer would look in sunset orange?

I resent that....we were all having a good time partying in the Parking Lot . If I remember correctly, mikey was propisitioned from a local "woman of loose moral character" and then me, KECHME, thebeaSST,sonofbeaSSt,java, etc saw these "women of loose moral character" stroll through the parking lot looking for some action.

ROFL Mir! I remember the woman of "loose moral character". They cruised back by when I was talking to Sean, Mikey, and Steve. Apparently I was lookin' good while I was changing my tires. I think Sean was throwin' out the vibe to the women of the night.

LMAO!! I remember Mikey and I getting a few cat calls and whistles from a couple of the "ladies" .... they were hanging out of their window looking for a few good men. I can assure you that the local bars here do not feature Vanilla Ice or Paula Abdull wannabes.

BG was unreal!!

Trevor, I was doing nothing of the sort! . I had a real good time hangin with every body the night before. The trip was a real eye opener, you definatly find out who your real friends are when you get to confront them face to face. "HEY Dave, what's going on here,is my nipple getting bigger?, Oh never mind thats just the tip of the blade protruding from my chest " .

ROFL.... memories...

I met my husband at NFRA in BG. He told me that he also got flirted with by some of those "women of loose moral character" but luckily, he refused their magnetic charms long enough to fall for me instead
