60e vs 80e 60ft times
408 stroker approximately 500 whp guesstimate with 150 shot nitrous on top of that.
4.11 gear with 28" radial.
01 Camaro 3300 pds race weight
I'm stuck deciding which trans to go with, I want the car to 60ft as good as it can get because I want it to run good NA also.

Now in saying that, I run a th350 that was built for my combo. The converter is pretty tight since it was built for some spray that I haven't used yet. (would 60' better if looser NA)
You need a good 60e though. Your average transmission shop local to you probably won't build one that will hold up. I run a performabuilt level 2.

I have run them into the 5's 1/8th and 8's 1/4 and gotten years out of them. My own experiences. I probably install and use 40 of them per year. I have a level 6+ in my regular cab and I beat the living guts out of it. 4,400lbs, 7,800 rpm, high 10's on motor, and on year 5. makes 770rwhp on spray. never missed a beat. I keep the trans temp 125-165. I plan to send it in this year for a refresh.
I havent back to back 60 tested them at the track, but I install a ton and can tell you how terrible it makes a mild cammed 5.3/6.0 silverado as half of my customers refuse to buy a good trans and go right from a stock 60 to an 80e.
fastest 60 Ive been apart of is a 1.28 on a 275 pro(1.35's on slicks) in a nitrous 6.0 3,300lb f body in a car I tune.
if anyone else has any personal experience with either two of these transmissions in a similar application, I'd like to hear your feedback!
I'm on the fence because i already have an 80e sitting on the garage floor. I was going to shoot for a big horsepower street car, but my plans have changed to a lower horsepower fun streetcar that is still competitive and not a slug off the line. I'd hate to spend the $$$ on a converter and rebuild on this 80e just to slow down from the T56 that's currently in the car.
I know I want to auto swap! I'm very impressed with some of the NA street cars on this forum. Its awesome to see well put together setups run 10s and sometimes faster with the help of a bottle!!!
