Default Will NHRA rules allow for a battery relocation cutoff switch "bypass" switch?

I want to relocate my battery to the hatch area, but I don't want nefarious individuals to be able to walk up to my car, and disconnect the power to the car via the disconnect switch. So.... I was thinking I could install another switch in parallel to the disconnect switch so that when I am not at a drag strip, the disconnect switch doesn't do anything. Is that NHRA legal?

Why not just pin it in the "On" position with a "Remove Before Flight" streamer attached to the pin? Catch is, you'll have to remember to remove it before you make a pass, but it would certainly be more noticeable than a bypass switch for the cutoff.

Wouldn't a "bad guy" be able to remove the pin, and thus disable the car? Forgive me if I am thinking way too much on this.

Not if it's a push/pull style where the rod goes into the trunk, you can drill and pin it in the trunk on the actual switch. Or, even simpler, unthread the rod off of the switch, and use a plastic body panel plug where the hole is, and just install the rod at the track.

Just use a push pull switch mounted inside the car with a rod the comes out through a taillight and remove the rod when you're not at the track if you're that concerned with it. Or use a regular mounted switch in the berger or rear bumper and just pull the screw off and put the lever in the console until you need it. Or just leave it and odds are you'll be great

Like above... removable rod works best.

EDIT:
Just thinking here...what if along with removable rod, with the switch in the trunk, you ran a cable (like bike brakes) to the driver's area from the switch for an extra safety cut off IF there was ever a problem ???

I used morse cable from my switch to a parachute release with a door handle attached to the console by the parking brake handle. The rod the at the back of the car is on a morse cable too, so I didn't have to run battery cables to the back. Switch is up front next to the battery. The car can be disconnected/connected from the driver seat or rear exterior.

That’s a good setup.

Lokar makes a remote handle that bolts to several brands of shifters to do the same thing. It’s the red handle attached to my shifter.
