Default 1/2 studs with stock 16s

i am having a trouble finding these in local parts stores, so i am looking in my summit catalog trying to decide which of the lugs will work, are they the 1/2 OEM acorns? or which ones are they

This posty should be moved to drivetrain or drag racing, but in the meantime...

I don't believe anyone makes a 1/2" diameter stud with the right knurl size for stock axle flanges. You'll have to remove the axles and have them redrilled for the larger studs. As far as lugnuts go, you would just need a 1/2" acorn style lugnut.

Looking at my Jeg's catalog, they show a 1/2" acorn, and a 1/2" duplex acorn. The duplex acorn is basically the same, but is longer. Both of these are closed end lugnuts. I would recommend finding an open end 1/2" acorn lug nug. You should be able to find them almost anywhere (Pep Boys, Autozone, etc), but for some reason Jeg's doesn't show an open-ended acorn lug nut (maybe because all they have listed are the flashy chrome plated ones).

Cool, glad you found them. I wouldn't have thought that a 1/2" acorn lugnut would be so scarce! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
