just wondering if there are many out there with this combo. i think i will be crossing the traps around 6600 or so. maybe i am wrong. i am going to test this out on friday if the weather cooperates. most with the big gears are running the fully 28' over the 27.3" tire. i think at 6800 rpms i will be limited to 118 mph or so. maybe my calculations are off.

I ran that combo on my car but decided to go back to 4.10/26 slick instead and only lost .05/1MPH

I goin to advance my cam to the proper ICL which will drop my peak abut 200 rpm...(6300 VS 6500)

Just use this math equation
MPH X GEAR X 336 DIVIDED by TIRE HEIGHT

I used 122 as my NEW GOAL MPH.I want to cross at 6500,4.10/26 works out to 6464 RPM threw the lights.Hope this helps....

I ran a combo of 28x10x15 slicks with 5.46 gears for most of this years racing season and would cross the traps at 6,600 to 6,800 rpms @ 122mph. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Now, I have a combo of 30x9x15 slicks with 5.13 gears and cross the traps at 6,800 to 7,000 rpms @ 121mph. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
