Hawker Battery Installed I haven't Fabricated a nice hold down yet but the tie straps are doing it for right now.

Re: Hawker Battery Installed I think I saved about 21lbs and I drive my car everyday and night. This battery holds up fine. Never drops below 13 amps with the heater and headlights on and I have an aftermarket pulley.
Re: Hawker Battery Installed I am making a better hold down but for now my bracket in the picutre and tie straps is working it moves about an inch side to side thats about it.
Re: Hawker Battery Installed I am actually making a bracket tomorrow afer I get out of class.The only reason I used so many washers was to keep the bolt from sliding through the terminal hole becausethe bolt is smaller. The washers helped compress the termianl to the battery.Without the washers, the bolt would go right through the hole and not keep the terminals connnected. I will have something put together tomorrow <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Maybe the hardware store has shorter bolts so we can avoid using so many washers?
