There is ONLY 2 ways to go faster-
Less weight or more power.

I'm not disagreeing with you.

With a full interior,my car will STILL go 11.70's.
Impressed now? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

I have made quite a few 11 second passes (11.8x's) and I ran those times with a FULL weight car, I even had the spare tire and jack in the trunk and stock wheels up front. I Think 11.8's is pretty quick for a bolt on car. I think 01-Z will have the bolt on record for awhile because Alan is out of the game and I will be going to heads/cam soon <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I kinda hope somebody beats me,I think it would be cool to see a
very low 11 stock internal M6.
I'm gonna try and go quicker with the current combo.
I should be able to do it,BUT,until you run the number, you ain't run the number!
As RAGEman pushed me to be my best,I hope I can inspire
someone else to be thier best.
But as everyone knows,11.50's is EASY when you gut it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

BTW-Maximus is gonna rip some *** w/ heads and cam.

Larry-I wish you the best and hope you beat my times!
If there is anything I can help you with, let me know.

Sean

I agree 11.70 with bolt on's is flying with full interior. I always thought for every 100 lbs's you lose is about a tenth in the 1/4 mile

Hmmm......cold weather,I already lift the tire,I can shift anytime I want,
got the weight reduction and the gears.

cold weather= 11.40's @120 <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Are you just pulling the seats,or doing more?
I hope I have my trans back by MIM.

If you want to lift the tire, tighten the front hal's up.
If you hook,you got AIR!
BTW-I'm sure you pulled the tire already and just haven't seen the picture.

i think the better question is- do i WANT to lift the front tire?

<img src="http://www.boxofwires.com/mfba/mfba092802/us41092802-039.jpg" alt=" - " /> = 1.53 racing

ill prolly pull the seats at the track. im still undecided on the sway bar <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> although i may need any help i can get with the new gears.

possibly a lightweight battery for track use only also?

Bah! You don't need shocks or struts or springs....you just need a good set of drag radials and more 1st gear! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
<img src="http://members.***.net/rdcosby1/images/bobatco.jpg" alt=" - " />

Its amazing what a 3.37 1st gear combined with a 4.56 ring and pinion can do for a launch. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

01Z...I can't get quite as radical as you, as I am going to run F/S again next year (can't change the K-member, have to use shorty headers, stock meter, stock TB, etc), but I am going to get the car down to ~3200 lbs, mount the slicks, and go for an 11.5 this fall. Will need killer air and some blessings from the breakage gods to do it, but should be fun trying.

I can only dream about 120 mph...I'll be quite happy with 115. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Looks like a violent launch,Bob.(sweet!)
Roy-that is not a good launch picture of your car.It looks MUCH better from the
other side and in person.
I run my hal's at 3/3 which I also run on the street.
Sometimes I drop the fronts to 2.
my car does not 'squat' like other ones.
The only thing I can figure is the BMR Trak pak (which relocates the torque arm
off the trans to a cross bar).Picks the car up from the center, lifting the whole car.
I can't decide to spray it or put a cam in it.
Decisions,decisions...... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I need my damn trans back first! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
