need NHRA rules on roll cage
1.) what is the minimum OD and wall thickness?
2.) what type of joints does it have to have? i.e. should the joints at the top of the cage be open and then seal welded, whereby the top bar is cut open and the bar from the floor to the top bar "fish mouthed"?
3.) is there any restriction on the rear connection location? i.e how far to the center of the top bar can I go, is there a minimum distance that they should be apart?
4.) is there a minimum height requirement for the driver / passenger bars?
5.) what connection method must be used for the removable driver side bar?
Thanks in advance
Just order a Wolferacecraft 6pt. rollbar,weld-in or bolt-in version, in either mild steel or chromoly. I know the mild steel rollbar is NHRA legal, and I think the chromoly one is NHRA legal. If you get the bolt-in version you can install that yourself, and if you get the weld in version you'll probably have to take it to Vic's shop or some other comperable shop and have them install it.
www.wolferacecraft.com
6pt. weld-in version mild steel 289.00
Jig notched add 100.00
6pt. weld-in version 4130 chromoly steel 415.00
Jig notched add 100.00
Both weld-in versions come bare so you'll have to have it painted once it's installed.
6pt. bolt-in version mild steel powdercoated black 575.00
bare 550.00
6pt. bolt-in version 4130 chromoly steel powdercoated black 875.00
bare 850.00
IMO, you should get the weld-in version, it's the cheapest one they offer and even if you get the jig notching it's only an extra 100.00.
389.00 total plus shipping, then maybe find someone other then Vic to install it because I know he's expensive, but thats your call.

Steve, I just had Jason at wizard racing build my 5 point cromoly bar. He is the same guy who built alan's. If you want to check it out just let me know. I do recommend his work and he is fairly inexpensive.

Yeah, I was fixing to edit my post and tell you about Jason too.
