Default 10.61 @135. Lots of potential left.

Finally ran the new combo last night, and still sorting through a lot of stuff. Larry Cato (PaiN) and dad came out to watch me - those guys rock.

Raceweight - 3540 with my portly 230 pound mass in it. DA was 2200 starting out, and fell to about 1400 for last run.

Best motor run - 11.1 at 124. My converter is definitely too tight for all motor, which is easily costing me .2-.3. All the same, I should squeak a 10 out of the car on motor with either cooler weather or another 100 pounds off of the car.

Did only one nitrous run - only spraying second gear and on. Did not purge the nitrous enough, so it hicupped when I hit the switch. Result of that was 10.61 @ 135. I figure I have a lot of potential left because:

1) Should gain 0.2 by manually shifting the tranny. The 200-4R is not an electronically-controlled auto, so it short-shifts the 1-2 and 2-3. On the nitrous pass, the 1-2 shifted at about 5700, I hit the nitrous, and the 2-3 shifted at only about 5600.
2) Should gain another 0.3 by spraying it out of the hole, assuming I can hook up.

So, I figure I can get another half a second just on driving alone. And then if I can get about another 100 lbs off of the car . . . .

Will try again in about 3 weeks. Maybe next time the 60-foot beams will be working at the track

BTW, I got lined up against Todd Boys on my slowest motor pass of the night (11.4 where I shortshifted and did not even have the bottle in the car). He killed me by about 10 car lengths (he was spraying). It would have been interesting against him on the spray with me only spraying second and on.

Hey, at least practice is FUN! You have some very low 10s, possibly 9s, in that car with those trap speeds. Any weight reduction stuff performed yet?

Good to hear you put a time on the combo, is that 124mph NA the result of letting it shift itself or did you shift it?

You don't want to shift on nitrous too high because nitrous peaks a lot lower than say a supercharger...

Nice new et's!!!

Post the whole NA time and I'll update the list!!!

Nice times Greg...how big of a shot were you spraying? Interesting your traps are higher than they were w/ your T56.

I still even had the sway bar in. Next lighteners are going to be the usual k-member stuff, some lightweight carpet, and maybe no swaybar next time. And maybe a diet for me

No 60-foot unfortunately, though don't think it was great with tight converter. 1/16 was 4.648. 1/8 was 7.152 at 98.18; 1/4 was 11.108 at 123.97. Tight converter.

Interestingly, the 1/16 was also 4.648 on the nitrous pass, but the 1/8 was 6.971 at 107.1 and the 1/4 was 10.613 at 134.96. That thing hauled it on the big end. This is why I easily think I have another 0.3 spraying out of the hole.

You and your dad are totally cool

Now may nothing break (knock on wood). That's the first time I have gone to track and left with everything intact. Gotta love autos . . .

I was surprised by the higher traps also, especially with the pulled timing for the nitrous. It is either a testament to the efficiency of the 200-4R or a testament to my crappy manual shifting skills.

I was spraying a 150 shot, second gear and on. As you can see in the times above, I didn't spray for at least the first 4.6 seconds of the pass.

Damn Greg let me know next time you go. Well good numbers. Once you get the hang of driving that beast I see low 10's no problem.
