Default First time at the track.

Best of the night.
React. .7027
60ft 2.12
330ft 5.70
1/8mi 8.60
1/8mph 84.84
Pretty close to 500ft. altitude

Hot, humid, and no traction. I also had a half tank of gas. I have 315 nitto drag radials and spun all thru first and still chirped 2nd and 3rd. I feel like it has low 8's in it, if I can get some traction and a good launch. My tire pressure was about 28psi's, I forgot to let the air out. My buddy videoed my runs and should have it to me later in the week. On one of those runs I get whipped by a trailored big block Nova. This was my first lost. Oh well you win some you lose some. Anyone have a good idea what I would have ran if I'd cut a 1.8 60ft. time. Do these times seem Ok for my mods? Later!

Also, some guy there said I was asleep at the tree. Is this a bad reaction time?

Practice, Practice and more practice will improve both your reaction times and Et times.

drop the 60 foots to 1.8 with a good hook and you'll see 8.30's-20's. Not bad time at all for the mods, keep practicing!

If you are chirping 2nd, and 3rd with 315 drag radials....you need to learn how to shift. I had comp t/as on my zr1's before getting the gforce. I will tell you what, I would have to try to chirp 3rd. You need to practice your shifting and launching, get your 60' down to below at least a 1.9 (thats as best as I can do) and your times will drop.

I think I just had to much air in the tires. And for some reason I couldn't get the tires to smoke, I even did the burnout in second gear to 70mph for about 8 to 10 sec. I feel like my shifting is pretty good, I speed shift very quickly. I also think they had bad track prep. I definately need to get off the line better though. Hopefully things will go better this weekend. Later!

Also I get better traction on the street. I rarely chirp 2nd much less 3rd on the street.

if chirping gears is bad when racing how are you supposed to shift correctly to get the best et's? I just learned how to shift and first night out racing was depressing to say the least. Im talking 14.3 was best with a 2.5 60'

Well that would make complete sense then. When I had my comp ta's I dropped them down to 18psi. I never could smoke them either. It is hard for me to do a burnout in an m6. I cant do the heal/toe thing so I have to jump from the clutch to the brake and the car jumps. I think a line lock would resolve the bad burnout problem. As for Track prep....that can mean life or death. If its a shitty track, you will inevitably get shitty times. Well maybe not shitty, but worse than if you were on a good track.
