Angie</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">LMAO Angie, I actually raced my wifes chevy tracker last year. I didn't do real well cause I wasn't used to all the POWER. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Could I really race a cavalier? I would hate to embarrass the COACH and win the over all bracket race with a cavalier lol <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

How about looking at the roof Sunday afternoon the 3rd. Will that be soon enough? I must return my racecar to the airport at 4 pm or so the 4th. We fly home at 6:10 pm monday the 4th. My wife and I want to check out New Orleans Monday morning. My wife has been there, I have not.

I have been to Shreveport though, I was there to, guess what, look at a shopping plaza roof. We actually got that job. Go figure. Didn't make any money but sure did get a good tan, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> You probably know which plaza it is. Its the one with all the stained ceiling tile lol <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> j/k

Tim, thanks for the info man. 45 minutes don't sound bad at all.

Edgar, N20 on a cavalier? lol. Man that would be cool. I haven't raced in sooo long that sounds SCARRY <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

My new engine will not be completed in time so I won't be racing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> My wife and I are flying down to spectate. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Hotel reservations made and flight tickets on the way. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I can't wait to see all the hot rods race. The bracket racing will be exciting too.
Have a safe trip everyone and we will see you there.

Not going <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I pulled my trans this week for a converter change and found the bell housing cracked from the wheel stand. There were two bolts holding it in. If I can get a new trans in, a set of 10.5" tires <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> and the chassis re-tuned, then maybe I'll make the trek. Otherwise I hope everyone has a good time and more importantly, stays safe.

A man named Steve Taylor and his wife Brenda have won B&M championships, $10,000 super pro races, and almost won the IHRA World Championship in, you guessed it, Cavaliers. No mods or electronics, just footbraking.

Don't knock it till ya try it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You won't break it, and it's also an SFI approved flywheel shield.

Ton, I work close to N.O. and will be coming from there that Friday, e-mail me and I'll give you my cell #. If you run into any problems I am right close by.

Mikey, hope you can get it together by then, let me know, the guest room in the east wing is still available.

Where is the gathering Friday night? Everyone is kind of spread out at different hotels.

JAVA, thanks man. You have mail.

Mikey, You can borrow my Hoosier Slicks 28" X 10" X 15". I would even take them out to you. Would you use the 15" X 10" WELD draglites too? If so, they are mounted. If not I will take them off the rims for you. Let me know. Hope you can make it.

Not going. I would love to, but there are not good classes set up for those of us with the big-cubed engines who use these cars as daily drivers. The 400 CI limit really killed me, and I don't want to touch the "Pro" classes since I would have to gut the car and run a bigger shot, which I am not willing to do on a car that I drive to work 3-4 times a week.

Suppose I could bracket race if I really had to, though.

Greg

p.s. Outside of not fitting in a class well, this looks like a great event. I do know that you cannot please everyone.
