Drag racing~!!
. I want some advice as to what i can do to make my car a weekend warrior but still be tame for the street. Any info about modifications and parts I need to accomplish this would be great!! I really want to get started as soon as possible.Gabe
I was born in McAllen and lived in La Joya for awhile!

How far do you want to dig into the car?
IMO a stall would be the first before anythinge else. Then the typical bolt ons
-Ported throttle body
-lid
-free mods (if necessary)
-intake (if necessary)
-headers and a cutout, that way if you get tired of the noise you could cap up the exhaust.
I would personally hold off on the gears until the last. That way you can choose the right gear for the power that you're making.
Humidity? For awhile I thought I was starting to grow gills

Remove MAF screen, Free ram air, T-body bypass
$$ Mods:
Lid, filter
LS6 intake, ported T-body
26x10x16 inch ET streets on stock 16 inch rims
3.42 gears and series 3 carrier (Unless you want 12 bolt)
3800 stall converter
Pacesetter headers and ORY pipe
3 inch cutout in intermediate pipe
LS1 edit tuning
Should be low 12's with that pretty easily
