Default Anyone having good luck with a 408 on spray?

I'm thinking of putting one together, but dont see much talk about anyone running a 408 with times in the low 9 sec range.

Anyone?

I'd like to know as well.

I was talking with Allan Futral about this. I am thinking about having him build me a 408 nitrous short block for next year. I as talking with him about building the short block with head studs etc and all I would have to do is move my S3 heads, 90mm intake, water pump and headers over. I would put my 346 SR motor on the shelf while I played with some nitrous.

I'd like to be able to hit a 150 off the line then an additional 300 direct port in 2nd and 3rd gear for a total of 450 shot. Thinks it possible with a 408 iron block? I know my heads and valve train could take, they are badass.

Cartek's blue camaro runs a 408 Iron block. Here is a video 0f it going 9.0x's at 149 mph with the nitrous coming in well past the 60' (with only a small shot of nitrous ). They are making some minor changes to the setup and expect 8.50's out of it when it's done.
