NEW BEST TODAY!!!
Humidity: 57%
Barometer: 30.02
Temp: 55 degrees
Track Altitude: 700 feet
Direct crosswind about 12 mph
DA: 567 feet
Track was PACKED. OSCA had there shootout and there were a TON of other cars as well. Things were postponed due to bad weather yesterday so today was insane.
Only got two runs in.
First run with a 4500rpm launch on ET streets and a decent amount of spin through first netted me:
60': 1.64
330: 4.744
1/8: 7.313
mph: 96.38
1000: 9.531
1/4: 11.388
mph: 121.75
Had a scary moment that pass at the top of third the rear of the car slid to the left about a foot. I really had no time to control it but the car straightened itself out. I nearly pooped my pants
After that pass I got a warning about no cage or firejacket.
After about an hour managed to get another pass.
Went to get my timeslip and the focker there wouldnt give it to me. He told me to pack it up for the day.
He did tell me my ET was 11.32 and mph was 122.xx.
Needless to say I was happy but irate at the same time that I couldnt get my slip.
I am really happy about these times as I have so much more in the car. I should be able to get the sixty in the low 1.5 range. I also have another 50+ pounds to remove before next trip to the track.
High 11.0's Low 11.1's should be possible with good traction and air.
Thanks again ARE for building me an AWESOME motor!
cheers,
Chris

Now, for all us M6 drivers, go ahead and tell everybody how much more you enjoy driving your car down the track

Looks like your 360CI likes the bigger cam.
Should be good for LOW 11's/HIGH 10's in better air w/alittle more weightloss..
Good luck

Shifting sure is a lot of fun now that I dont have to worry about the rear and driveshaft anymore!
I had about half a dozen people come up to me in the pits and ask how much I was spraying. One was a 2003 Cobra owner LOL
Still have another ~55 pounds to take out before the end of the season. Goal for the car a raceweight around 3350 with me in the car after putting in the 5 point cage. (I'll need lightweight hood and some more free weight reduction to be able to do that with cage though) That with a 1.50 sixty "should" be good enough for high 11.0 to low 11.1 on motor.
Thanks again guys, I have been working hard on the car getting it setup and it is really coming together.
Cheers,
Chris
ps- Joel, this cam is way tamer than the 226/234 cam I had in it before. The extra 24RWHP/15RWTQ really helps too hehehe

I guess its a single pattern?
Thats serious power to get from a cam change.
No doubt your combo is working well.I really like the 360,U get more cubes with no worries of leaking. This might be my next shortblock.
Your setup is impressive...

Also changed tuning slightly (1 degree more WOT timing to 28 total and one AF change.)
This ARE 360 is an awesome motor. The added stroke from the offset ground crank brings RWTQ and RWHP in earlier and combined with these heads (10.8:1 compression 5.3L heads) makes a nice FAT and flat HP curve. (I am hitting 400RWHP at only 5200rpm with a 6300rpm peak and falls back to 400RWHP at almost 7000rpm)
Area under the curve is awesome.
I am still running midlength MAC headers and single cutout in the intermediate pipe. I would pick up another 15RWHP or more by switching to longtubes with extensions on the collectors.
Hope this helps,
Chris

I like the ease of just uncapping the cutout and closing it up and driving home.
If I had a trailer then I'd run extensions for sure..
Yep the 360 is a mean motor..
I like it alot...
Whats the lift and LSA on your cam
XE or XER lobe?Where do u shift it at buddy..
