Default New best and a win at the TR shootout

Had a blast the whole day Congrats to Angie and Geoff for having a wonderful event, can't wait till the next one.

It was glad to meet new people and reunite with others(VINCE, Tony, Judson, Harlan, Stephen D., Coach, Joe, Trevor, Chris from Diamond pistons and many others)

Anyway, set a new best during first qualifying round but was 5lbs under at 3495 aghhh

1.49 60'
10.871
126.28

So I added a little more gas and ran second round of qualifying and weighed in at 3508lbs-set low ET and MPH for #1 qualifier

1.48 60'
10.871
126.48

Had a bye run first round, then ran Coach in second round (I knew I had to cut a good light-.575 to his .565 and ran a 10.91 to his 11.2x). Final round was with Tim H.(95 FORMULA). Hoped this was going to be a good race since he qualified #2 with a 11.0x, but we both were pushing the leave and both spun. Tim spun more and didn't recover good. I had a 1.55 60' and ran a 10.92 to his 11.7x with a 1.8x 60'. Good race Tim

Congrats to Mike H. for setting low ET\MPH for #1 qualifier in his class(steet\stock automatic)and winning against Trevor D.-also a good run!

Now to get back to 3395lbs and try to get a 10.7x pass. Then on with the N20 and reach my next goal.......

Again, congrats to everybody that ran good and Thunder Racing for having the event. Also thanks to all the friends that hung out at our tent and helped throughout the day!

Allan, your car was hauling *** as usual! Enjoyed watching it run, and always good to see you and the woman.

Damn solid rollers

The event went really great, thanks to Angie and Geoff for putting on the event and to the whole Thunder crew, you did a super job!

As you can see from Allan's post we had a great day of racing, the car was running great even with the added weight and the weather was SUPER!!! It seems like the weather held out just long enough for the awards then the bottom fell out and its been yucky and getting warmer since.

Just watched Gordon's videos of Friday night and Saturday and they are good, you would have thought it was professionally done, nice job G.

Thanks to everyone that helped out all day, we had fun and cant wait to do it again.

Allen, Congrats on your win!

The .575 to .565 lights was in the 1st round of qualifying. I ran a 11.08 to your 10.87.

In the 2nd round of Elims I cut a .531 to your .601 light and if I would not have missed 4th gear we may of had a race. LOL!

You have one bad *** Hot Rod my friend kept up the great work and we will see ya next year.

Congrats on the win allan. I had to do something in the final to try and help me out. I went for it off the line and the track didn't hold..oh well, I had nothing for ya and had to try something. . The fastest car won and thats the way it should be. Now..for my r/t all day...geeeeze....I have nothing to say except that my head must have been in the clouds somewhere.

Congrats man...

Candy and Allen were the best host.. I would have been lost w/out them. Futral Motorsports makes and has some fast cars in their arsenal. I really appreciate Futral Motorsports for squeezing me in on Friday and putting in a awesome cam. The "F4" cam has awesome street manners and pulls like a power lifter in a hurry... I think it even revs up faster than my old 226 XE-R cam.. I even got a ride in that monster 434ci Solid Roller.. I have never been afraid of riding shotgun in my life, but no way will I let Allan drive me around in a car with that much power again.. Atleast if I drive I can lift my foot off the gas.. I do not know if Allan knows what backing off means.. Then to watch Mike H. with the same cam I have run 11.2's at 118mph with stock heads.. That was really impressive.. He was also over 3500lbs.. I need to get my car's weight down bad.. Thanks again Candy and Allan for showing me the town. Trust me, I will be back... Suzette and I..

Congrats Allan

Hey Allan, Congrats!!!

I enjoyed meeting you and Candy Friday night (make that Saturday morning) and I'm sorry we didn't get to stay for the race.

Vince, we stayed at the Red Roof and parked right in front of your car. It was the brown 98 Blazer w/ an FMS motor in the back of it!

Allan, I'm hoping to get you some 'stock tune' dyno numbers soon and maybe some track numbers this weekend if we get it buttoned up fast enough.

Now you can ONLY imagine what I have been through I have finally gotten accustomed to it but you are right he DOES NOT know the meaning of backing off. He defiantely loves his job.

Vince - Glad you had a good time, it was a pleasure meeting you and getting to hang out with you. You are one cool guy and your car is a beauty!! To bad it started raining or we would have had to stay up for some Sat. night street racing. Guess it was for the best since we all needed some sleep.. Next time you come, Suzette will have to come with you.

Gordon -- You know you liked it!

John - It was nice meeting yall, I hate it was so late and we didnt get to talk more. Wish yall could have stayed for the event, maybe next time it will work out. Hope everything is ok with your wifes grandmother.

I took a ride in Allan's car when he had the 4.30's in the rear end and all I could say was (dude there's car ahead of you) ha!ha! ha!. That is one bad hot rod. I am tickelled pink over the way my car ran for the event and that is with Futral tuneing
