Default Setting the Record Straight

I just pulled into Houston and started reading everything that has been posted. All I can say is I WAS WAY OUTTA LINE LAST NITE!!!!!!

Sled and Wade all I can say is I"m SORRY FOR PERSONALLY FLAMEING YOU!

An explanation for my behavior BUT not an excuse. I was extremely dissapointed when ARE was the first in the eights. I have been trying for 3 years. I started out building customers cars and realized that NOBODY is as competitive as I am. I am starting to realize that I'm TOO competitive. I have been working 20 hour days for the last 3 weeks to put this car PLUS customer cars together for this race. Unfortunately my only goal was to OUTRUN the boys from Canada!

I accomplished that but made a total *** of myself afterword. The only excuse I have is I am a high strung crazy SOB and my mouth does get me in alot of trouble.

I still think that if ARE and I ever line up it will be one hell of a drag race but the "**** ARE" COMMENT WAS my frustration in not being the first in the eights and NOT HATE for my canadian friends.

well all i can say is BOTH cars are very impressive in their own way. i had the pleasure of meeting madman for the 1st time in person at this event and he is a very nice guy, i do buy my parts from him. ARE on the other hand i havent dealt with but ive heard great things as well, bottom line is all the flaming isnt necessary and im glad to see this post. madman youve got a hell of a car. ill have to get my car over their for a few mods to the old suspension i was very impressed with your 60 times aswell as stefans. also if this race ever does go down it will be one for the record books by all means.

maybe at the next thunder event or at e-town either way ill be there no matter where it happens.

great seeing everyone

mike

Alcohol was a slight factor. Frustration was the majority of it.

Madman,I have to admit that I was pretty disturbed after reading the posts, and I understand that when you reach your goals it can be pretty exciting....but???? sometimes the excitment gets the best you! And I appreciate you setting the record straight.
Congrats on your 8 second pass....was that a 1.26 60'? Imagine what my LS1 would do with that .
Looking forward to meeting up with you next season.

Yes I had a 1.28 60ft. and then Stefan told me had one also. Well that damn competitve **** came out and I turned it up. When we ran the 1.26 on the 8.75 run. I have some issues with the car but fixing it will be no problem. On the final run I broke the sway bar adjuster.

I'm impressed, it shows alot when someone can make a public apology like this

-Tony

PS, Madman's car was only fast because of the LS1Tech decals on the window. If ARE would put them on their car they will run 8.6s next time

Two excellent shops, building excellent cars that show off their skills. In the end, the cars are nothing without to two excellent drivers that put them through their passes down the track. I'm glad to see they are good people too. Congrats to both of them on a successful season and we look forward to more great tech support and great races.

Madman / C5Wade

I agree that this would be a race to see....but
not one run take all........I think it should be a match race.....2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5...

I would pay money to see this for sure.....surely a bunch of people would want to see this race.....

Oh by the Way, the only reason you went 8.75 is because you have an ARE K-frame/A-Arms in the car!
As I said to you earlier in a private post, if you got it, congrats on the 8sec pass.
