Default Thoughts On The Event & The Thrash

Big thanks to the folks at Thunder for putting on the event. It was very well organized and everything went well. The facility was very nice and the track is a hooking **** Have another one and we will be there for sure. It was good to meet & see everyone again, Tom & Bev, Joe K, Pain & family, Nineball, Java & son, George C & buddy, PSJ, Madman, Mir, Ed Wright, Angie, Trevor. If I missed you at the race or did not mention your name forgive me as I was definatly running on stupid after 9-10 days of sleep depravation and hard work. I am not as young as I used to be.

I need to thank a few folks that really helped us out. Without them we would not have even made the race. Jud, Linda, Pat, Chris & all the guys at SAM for building us a great motor. Sean (KECHME) Freese, buddy you are the best Thanks for sticking with me thorugh the thick & the thin. Your dedication to this project amazes me. Lanky, what can I say, you offered up your home & garage, countless hours, rode with me to Ok. Put up with a cranky old man, would not let me quit when things got tough. Your friendship & dedication are greatly appreciated. Blane,Matt & Bobby, again, countless hours, dedication & hard work. My son Stephen for putting up with the old man & driving me to get it done.

Thanks to Pat from SAM for driving the car, you did an awesome job my friend Stephen could only make one pass because he does not have his NHRA license yet. He did run a personal best 10.13 footbraking, nice job buddy.

We had a great time, lets do it again soon.

Dave

Congrats on the fine job getting to this event ! Believe me, I know from our own personal experience how much energy this kind of thrashing to get a car ready for competition takes out of you! It was a privilage to be able to shake down such a nice car. Without a doubt it will be a MONSTER when it is fully sorted out. I enjoyed meeting all of your great crew, they did a fantastic job making a fast and safe racecar. I hope to see you out at HRP making some blasts along side of our stuff. I knew Stephen wasn't gonna lift on his first pass!!(haha) Great job! Keep up the good work. Now get some sleep!!!!!

Dave,

Man it was no problem, over the 8 days I enjoyed myself, despite being dog tired. It was great to watch the car come together, and getting it ready to soon set records The event was AWESOME I haven't had so much fun in quite some time, I'd do it again in a second. I'm happy to be a part of the BeaSSt's crew.

Dave, you know my take on the situation. Name the time and place and I'll do it again! I'll be a part of the crew as long as you'll have me.

BTW, for all of you that don't already know it, Dave and Stephen Douberly, and Kevin are probably the nicest bunch of people you will ever meet. You guys make it a joy to be a part of the crew. Oh and the newest crew member Blane, well he's all right too .

Dave it was great meeting you too buddy. You and your whole crew are a class act for sure. I was very impressed to see your car run a 9.93 on your first shake down run. When you get things sorted out its gonna fly. I hope to hook up with you guy's ( er I mean ya'll) when I go to Houston to pick up the new motor.

Later man

The saga continues, checked out at 12 to a low right front tire, off to the Mobil for some fixaflat & air. Got on 10 and came to a prompt halt for about an hour, seems a trailer with a couple of Harleys inside came loose & hit a least one other car, looked bad. We made it to Sonnys at 3. Back on the road by 4 & construction, rain and a few restroom stops stops for the lone female on board put us home at 10:30. I slept all day Monday. See ya at the next one, maybe not so worn out.

Thanks to everyone & good to see ya'll
