Default 15 or 16inch et streets??

ok i think its time. After last nights amazing 1.9 60's on nittos Im ready to switch(since the tires are bald).

i have 16x9 xp's on car now so should i get a 16inch et street? ORRR just get 15x8's and go with a 15inch et street?

I would like to get 15's since they will be alot lighter but what size et street should I get if i get them?

I have 3.23's, 224 cam, vig3600, headers and other basic bolt ons. I may step up to 3.73's also to help with the cam. So whats a good size tire that will hold without going to big?

If you keep the 16x9 XP's, use 26x11.5x16 ET Streets, I had that setup and was going mid 1.5's back a few years ago... at like 20psi cold.

With my last set of et streets I would run them at 15-17 psi cold (26x11.5x15 on 15x10) and would burn 'em up for about 7 seconds for the first run and half that thereafter unless the car sat for a super long time and then I would heat them up for like 5 seconds. I don't believe in long burnouts for the follow up runs unless it's cold out or you are going like 2 hrs between runs. I went 1.51 on 26x11.5x15 et streets.

I was a little worried about fitting a 15" rim on the back of my car. Will it fit without any grinding/sanding/filing of the rear caliper? Do you have any specific brands of wheel in mind?

Thanks for the info.

Harold you know what I'm going to recomend.
26x11.50x15 Et streets, on Bogart 15x9.75 wheels, 7-1/2" backspacing. No grinding, light weight. You can try mine out this spring if you want to.

You'll need to grind the calipers. Use a good side grinder. No big deal. Wear goggles! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Draglites and Prostars are great for the $$$. Bogarts are badass but cost alot more. There are others that work great too of course.

Is the sidewall wrinkle better on a 26x11.5x16 or a 26x11.5x15? Since the 15" would have more sidewall, I would imagine that it would wrinkle more right?
