Re: Proper way to fasten a pin-on hood?
I have a total of 8 hood pins holding mine down. They don't look as nice as dzus fasteners, but were much easier to install. Dzus fasteners take a bit of extra work on our cars, since there really isn't any metal available to attach them to. Most folks fabricate aluminum rails.
As far as location, I have 2 towards the back of the hood, 2 on each side of the hood, and 2 on the very front of the hood. I can take a couple pictures if that doesn't make sense... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Heya George.
If you could take some pics, I'd like to see where you put the anchors at in the engine bay. I saw your car at the TR Shootout but didn't get a peek under the hood.
Also are you running a TH400? or TH350? Did you do the install yourself, if so you mind if I email you a few questions?
Thanks,
Lee

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow, since the car's loaded up on the trailer right now (going to the track in a little while).
Right now, I'm running a Rossler built TH400. Except for building the tranny, I've done everything myself. Email away with any questions.

Proper way to fasten a pin-on hood?
I'm planning on getting a pin-on hood this winter. I need to know the correct way to fasten it down. How much weight does Zeus fasteners all around add? Does anybody run a hood with just hood pins? Where do you have the pins mounted? Pics would be wonderful, if possible. Thanks a lot for any feedback.
