Ready for some racing this weekend!

Ready for some racing this weekend!
Last Wednesday I only made 2 full-out passes, and ran identical 10.061 ET's on both. Last night I went out with mufflers on, all the interior back in the car (+~70lbs) and worse weather, but I've added an electric waterpump drive (not an electric water pump), and I wanted to make sure it would keep the car adequately cooled. I only made 2 passes last night, but had identical 6.407 1/8th mile ET's, and the 1/4 ET's were within .002 (10.133 and 10.135).
Now, if I can cut some decent lights, maybe I stand to go a few rounds in Orlando Saturday (Night of Fire race)! I haven't done any bracket racing in awhile, so I may have gotten a little rusty in my time off. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Any of you local Orlando folks planning on being there?

Good luck George. I hope you crack a 9 second run or 2. I'll be rootin' for ya'll.
I say ya'll because I was told the plural of ya'll was (all ya'll) <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> Could you edjamakate a Yankee brother? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />
Good luck George
Tom

George just get the Meziere, it'll work better, look cleaner, and saves ~7# off the nose of the car. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Ready for some racing this weekend!
Well, I don't know about a 9sec. pass this weekend... I have all the weight back in the car, and don't plan to gut the interior again. Besides, I'm going to bracket race, not try and set ET records (wouldn't Joe K be proud? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ). The weather does look good, and the car did run 2 10.13's last night, though.
Terry, I plan on doing a Meziere pump sometime, but there's a big price difference. For now, the Mr. Gasket kit seems to work, and was only an $80 investment. The good thing is that now I've already got the alternator adjustment figured out (since that's all the belt drives, now), and the wiring already in place, so a Meziere pump would pretty much just bolt right on in place of the stocker. Maybe after Xmas...

However, I can see y'all's being legitimate when used as a possessive plural, as in "Ya'll's cars sure are fast." <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Go get em George.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I finally got all the bugs worked out in my car.. I have the 226, 590 cam back in it though.. But I found just about 80'bs in the car to take out..
So I have three days of racing to try and crack the 10's.. I hope to be there everyday.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

good luck in Orlando George! hopefully that 30-something degree weather we'll bet getting here will trickle down that way so you can rip some decent et's as you go some rounds! Nail some dragsters and make John proud! <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
