Burn Out & Take Off i got a 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6. was wondering first of all how the f*ck do you do a burnout with a manual car never had the chance to cause i never knew how to. and all of you with stock tires how do you take it off the line at your local drag strips?

With an M6, you have to buy a line lock or do a little bit of dancing......come to a complete stop, depress clutch, gas it up, then really really quickly let the clutch out and bring your left foot back to the brake. Or you can put the heel of your right foot on the brake while using your toe to hit the gas so you have some pressure on the brakes before you birng your left foot over.

ok thanks hopefully this should help. i might buy that line lock, i was debating it but now i think its really worth it. since i don't wanna look like a fool at the strip.
A line lock and a shift light are the M6 owner's best friends at the dragstrip. 
Then once you get a 12-bolt, driveshaft, and clutch, a 2-step becomes your new best buddy.
I have the Thunder linelock kit (with the prebent lines), a Harlan shift light (patience is your friend), and the 2-step.

works basically like a transbrake in a TH400/350 setup, allows you to leave at wide open throttle and also set the rpm that you want to leave at.
gues you could call it a temporary rev limiter just for the launch, it'll disengage once the car is launched and you'll have your normal rev limiter for the rest of the pass down the track.
set the rpm, put foot to floor then launch it.
