Default 11s@122mph in street trim with GTP/TR230

I went to SCD tonight to finally get some passes with the new setup. I ran in full street trim. I was running on all 17" wheels ( nittos DRs ), no shortbelt, airfilter in etc. All I did was pull up and dump in some 104.

I only got to make one pass before getting the boot. I did a good burnout on the Nittos, left @ 3K and got a ton of wheel hop, hit second, still hopping, finally stopped when I hit third, hit fourth and ran out of gear. I hit the 6800 revlimiter a good 3 or four times before I crossed the line. I was shifting at 6500rpm

This resulted in:
1.85 60'
11.80 1/4 ET
122mph 1/4 MPH

I was VERY happy with this as this is how I drive it on the street. And there is a ton more in it when I put the slicks/skinnies, shortbelt, take some weight out, and shift it higher. I don't know when that will be as my 12bolt is making some funny noises.

The car felt so good on the top end, it really felt strong. I can see 124+ mph once I get it sorted out.

Congrat's Justin I know you have to feel good about this, especially on your first pass! How much does your car weigh now?

Hopefully next season I can have the honor of being thrown out of the track for running 11's in street trim when I try some ET Streets instead of my standard street tires

Congrats. My track is weird at times. That's bad cause I never know when they'll say leave or let me race. I got kicked out once because my seatbelts were outta date... LAME! Raced another time without a battery shutoff switch and they let me run all night, KNOWING it wasn't connected (it was installed). The following week, they told me I couldn't run till my shutoff switch STICKER was placed properly... JERKS!

I took my brothers truck into the mid 11's and it has no cage... They let me. As I said, weird. I hope YOUR track officials are at least consistent. Just in case they aren't, set it up for a best pass and give it a shot!

Thanks guys. I have no idea what my raceweight is, one day I will weigh it but I am not to concerned.

Verbs, the 104 is just a safety measure. My knock sensors are turned off, and my CR is ~11.3:1. I don't think you are going to make it through the traps with 4.30s if you ever race at a sea level track. I popped the limiter several times before I crossed the line and this is with 4.10s. With the ET Drags I will cross just about perfectly, but I think your ET Streets will not grow as much.

The weather was fair, about 50*/50% humidity.

Can't wait to see some 1.5s and low 11s once I put the big 'n littles on it.

For the locals, SCD is consistently hooking on Friday nights from all the people I talked to. I have to put a roll bar before I go back, I've been kicked 3 times.

Justin

Justin, nice times for being in street trim. I know you have been wondering what it ran in that trim for awhile.

Glad to hear SCD is hooking again. I'll definitely be making a trip back there since I now have the rollbar. Just waiting on someone to ship back my heads. Craig... you reading this??

Did not get to run at Hub City yesterday, they were running an event, not the normal TNT. Will have to wait a week or so do see what it does on slicks. Hope the air is good.

Justin, the air is going to be really good Friday. Maybe make a trip to NPR since they allow 11.49 or slower w/o a cage. However, if you put the slicks on, I can see you getting kicked out real quick. Maybe go make a few passes on slicks and then put the DRs on.

NPR on Wedensday or Friday? I can get out of work early to go either day. I hope the 12bolt doesn't break cause it is making some funky noises.

Maybe some 1/8th miles passes to get the launch down then go for the 1/4.

Justin, Friday would be better I think. The weather looks to be clear with temps 57°/37°. Wed. there is a 70% chance of rain.

Got time to put the new clutch in? I can help anyday but Tuesday.
