Hmm, thats the first I've heard of something like that, I think hitting the button to go in reverse everytime would get annoying...
Is it a problem at all?

The upside to it is; if the tranny is in neutral and you hit the button, it goes into reverse. So you don't have to physically shift it into the reverse gear to back up, just knock the shifter forward into neutral and hit the button and your going backwards. It's great at the track.
