Default Quickest All-Motor on regular radials?

Anyone know what the quickest all-motor LS1 on regular radials is (not drag radials)?

I went to HRP tonight and ran on my 18" Racing Hart wheels and Pirelli PZero radials, just for the hell of it. Raceweight was 3702 lbs with these heavy wheels and a full tank of gas. I had to leave easy and go about 3/4 throttle until 3rd gear, otherwise it was spin city! It was fun anyways.

Here was my best timeslip:

60'=1.90
1/8=7.48
mph=97.65
1K'=9.63
1/4=11.41
mph=125.94

Not bad for real street trim I suppose.

Bad news is that on the 6th run of the night I heard a loud pop at the top of 2nd gear and I put on one hell of a smoke show. I had to hitch a ride back home to get the truck and trailer (Thanks to Zan, Weatherguy's wife). Its too dark outside to see the total damage, but it sounds pretty bad and smokes a TON.

I think I could have run an 11.30 tonight, had fun driving this M6 down the track on street tires LOL!

I'll get a better idea tomorrow in the daylight. I'm pretty sure its worse than a headgasket or sleeve. There is oil everywhere on the passenger side of the engine bay. The engine turns/runs but sounds awful, like metal grinding.

Too bad I didn't have the slicks on the car tonight, I'd have run a new best ET for sure in the -400 DA we had.

Tony- It's sucks to end a night like that , but Boy is that car a sleeper in street trim. Actually you are a brave man to even attempt it it.lol. I am guessing it would be comparable to trying to foot race on an ice covered lake. Kudos to ya. Keep us posted man.

Tony - that sucked watching your car smoke on the track. I went to the stand to watch your radial pass, and got to unfortunately watch that happen. Glad we could help out with the ride.

Finally got my 10s all motor later. 10.93 @126. Happy with the pass, especially since the converter I am using is an easy 0.2 penalty.

Good run tony. Expecially on true street tires.

Sorry to hear about the smoke show though, I had a couple of those and the last Big smoke show ended up with a big hole in the side of the block. Think god for your MTI warrenty

Tony, sorry to hear about your motor….

That’s a real impressive numbers on real street tires.
I’m much more impressed when people run their cars as is – which means street tires.

BTW: Looks like I was right that both ET and MPH suffer when you can’t launch as hard as you can on slicks.

Tony, last time to the track I put my Goodyear F1's back on in preparation for the drive home. Just for kicks, I decided to make a run with the car in true street trim (275 F1's on all four corners). 11.62 @ 119. That was with a spinning 1.86 60'. Not too bad for a 346...

Tony, too bad about the motor... I know how it feels, buddy.

As far as "regular" radials, I've been 11.0 on some worn out Grand Am GT 275/60/15 radials. Scary ride, though.

Damn George, 11.0 on regular tires? That had to be fun. Scary, but FUN!

EuG, you are correct, ET and MPH both suffer vs slicks. My 1/8 mile times suffered the most, because I couldn't floor it until 3rd gear.

Now I know why I've spanked a few 11.50 cars on the street lately

Sweet times at that weight for sure Tony. Sorry to hear you had problems. We looked for you to see if you needed a hand but Greg said that you all had it covered.
