Anyone have pictures of your window net installation?
I'm looking for some pics of a window net installed on a 10 pt cage. Hopefully I'll be fully NHRA legal before Christmas and would like to go out and make a few passes on a good track. If you have any picture please post links or post them. Thanks in advance.

Derek, do you have a cage in the car already? If not, Wolfe has a window net kit to go along with their 10-point cage. They do have a few pictures on their website.

From the 2003 rulebook:
All cars running an ET lower than 10.99 or in excess of 135mph are required to have an SFI approved window net installation.
Not in those exact words. It has seperate statements for the mph and Et but I felt it was pointless to type them both seperately but in the same context <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Me lazy LOL.
I have the net and and install kit but in my opinion I would think that it should be parallel to the halo bar. It would look strange coming across the at an angle like the door bar. Also swing out door bars are allowed down to 7.50 ET per the 2003 rulebook. The top of the net can be disconnected via a seat belt type clamp. If not attached to the door bar what would it attach to and how would it be moved out of the way for getting in the car.
Thanks

Re: Anyone have pictures of your window net installation?
George,
I have a homemade chrome moly 10 pt. I couldn't afford to have it done and felt like the Wolfe kit was overpriced when I first started and it wasn't yet available.
That picture answers my question. Even though the bottom of my window net doesn't travel at an angle like the one pictured, I can tell from the picture that it doesn't have to be attached to the door bar but can be attached via another rod or bar. I have the two rods it hangs on and the release.
Thanks
