Weight diff of mickey t front runners vs radial in front?
I have the bf goodrich radial 175 80's mounted on them.
They currently weigh in at 26 pounds.
The tread on the radial is running very thin so this winter it is probably time to replace them.
Normally I would just get the same radial but it looks like the little v6 shall no longer be a daily driver.
My question, can I save some weight with running one of those mickey thompson front runners?
I've heard they are lighter but no proof.
Any weight reduction is needed for me.
Currently weighed in at 3080 w/o driver and bottle.
Anyone have exact numbers?
Thanks
They will not last long on the street, though...

Not much, but they do have other advantages other than the light weight. I'll be going to a 27.5x4.5 ET Front next year...

the 165 r 15's are 15 lbs.
hope this helps.
yes I am a weight freak. lol
Terrys car is light and so it George's car so they can run this kind of tire.
I tried them on my car and it didnt feel safe to me.My car weighs right around 3550lbs.I think I mightve dropped 50lbs since the last time I weighed it?Bottem line I wouldnt run a 2 ply front on a street car that weighed over 3300lbs.U could lose a tire at high speed and thats not a good thing..

The little 165R-15's aren't really designed for what our cars weigh either...
Has everyone been running a low speed rated radial? My main objective is a DOT tire that can handle 140 mph. Is my only choice a Sportsman or was the sales guy learning how to use a computer?
