I've had good luck with ET streets. They have more cords in them than ET drags, so you won't lose as much mph and they are a little easier to drive on than slicks.

My $.02

1. ET Streets are street legal, have a stiffer sidewall and slightly harder compound which makes them work better on the street.

2. I've cut 1.49-1.60's with ET Streets of a few sizes.

3. 16x8 rims = 26x10.5x16 ET Street is the right size, ie. like stock tire height. You can run the 11.5's but they work better on a 16x9 rim (see my old drag lite pics those are Draglite XP 16x9's with 26x11.5x16 ET Streets cutting a 1.57 back in 1999 at www.ls1tech.com/moderators/psj ). 11.5's on 16x8's end up being a bit tall than stock.

4. Always air up the ET Streets before hitting the highway, at least keep them in the 2_psi range for safety reasons, but do not over inflate them because you will wear out the center faster than the edges.

Default et drags or et streets?

i have 315 nittos and cannot hook at the track. i have some boltons and a st3500. last time out was a 13.3 @ 106 with a 2.2 60ft. i plan a heads/cam package later. so will the et streets be enough, or should i just go to et drags? i would love to pull a 1.5 60 ft. i would also like to drive to the track on them if possible it is less than 15 miles away but this is not a requirement.

thanks

Et-streets should hold plus you can drive on the street with them .. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Streets will take you into the low 10s, or high 9s.
