so is it alright for carbs to play then if its going to be stock suspension limiting this race?? If so, id like to spread the word around because there are some interested parties there too.
Your call brian since you seem to be spear heading this.

I like every thing I see so far except for the carbed cars. Lets keep it EFI. I too am kinda partial to Bobbys wieght suggestion. Why a 400 pound penalty if it's an N/A big block... I think if it should probly be: SBC N/A: 3000, SBC P/A: 3200, BBC N/A: 3200, BBC P/A: 3400.... Sounds a bit more realistic to me... And Sean, don't hate the Carbed cars man, I wanna see's Bobby's car in this thing. BOB YOU WILL BE THERE!! REMEMBER, I AM PUSHING YOU.

If you can't make the weight, oh well.
Put it on the track and don't leave anything in the trailer!
Dave
I think some guys fear carbs cuz they picture 6 and 7 second Pro Stock Camaros and Firebirds, but even though this deal is being pretty lenient, you still need stock style suspension. Very few guys have stuck around making big power numbers on a Torque Arm Suspension. At some point most every "Racecar" That some have envisioned, ends up with a 4-Link or Ladder Bar setup.
Theres no advantage to the Carb, since EFI will make the same or possibly better average HP, and have better tuneability.
I don't have a Carb, but I think it'd be a shame to boot 2-3 cars for not having EFI, and just doing something different.

The only people who will be racing in this race are people who have spent some cash on their car. This isn't a bolt on race, nor is it a race where a bunch of people come to whine. You run whatcha frickin' brung and if ya dang car isn't up to the challenge then spectate or stay ya panzy **** home. Its that simple. Fast STREET cars coming together for bragging rights and a good ol' fashion heads up race.
Brian I only know of one car thus far that meets the rules of stock suspended with the BBC. When word gets out about the race maybe others will come but with people interested I don't really care who I'm lined up next to. I do think there will need to be seperate classes for p/a and n/a though depending on turnout.
