Default Motor went BOOM

My motor went BOOM!!!! Not sure if I did the 3 to 2 shift or the rod gave out at the top of third .. I left a nice amount of oil on the track and a few parts for them to pick up Looks like I will be down for some time. I have a few things in the works so I hope to be back up by spring . I manage to run an 11.67 today on my first pass. I can't belive how much oil is on my car and under the car

I will post more tomorrow when I am more awake and after I look at the car during the day.

Man, I'm sorry to hear about the destructive trip to the track. The silver lining is that it is an opportunity to step up with a few more cubes. Let me know if I can help you out.

Man Pete I was in the burnout box right behind you waiting to make a pass.I saw the whole run and heard you row the first three gears then at the top of third HOLY SMOKES!Dad walked over to me shaking his head we firgured it could'nt be good.Nice hole in the oil pan not to mention the piston peeking through .I'm just glad it did not happen when you let little Ray make his pass.I must admit Pete said a bad day racing is better than a good day working with a smile on his face. One things for sure your next trip to the burnout box in that car it will be faster

Sorry to hear that Project Kermit is sick... stock shortblock?

If so you probably lost a (connecting) rod bolt due to fatigue.

gotta love GM rod bolts

You weren't allowed to break ...now I guess I don't have to come up to ATCO and kick your butt now

Hope you get it fixed soon
