1/8th times vs. 1/4 potential ???
Is there a formula or a rule of thumb to convert 1/8th ET's and MPH into a rough idea of a car's 1/4 mile potential?
I know, I know, the only way to see what a car will run in the 1/4 is to take it to the track. Only problem is there aren't any decent 1/4 mile tracks around here. My regular trips will be to the 1/8th mile track just to see how the car progresses, and I would just like to get an idea of where I would stand on a decent 1/4 mile track.
Thanks
Jeff

Simi Valley in the house! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Take your 1/8th mile ET x 1.575, it will get you close.

Thanks for the info Terry.
Yeah, I gotta represent Simi Valley. I've actually seen your car a few times out there... I used to work at Pep Boys. Maybe I'll see it run one of these days out at Irwindale.

Here's one of my runs you could use to get an idea (in decent Feb air low 50s for temp on m/t sportsman pros):
60- 1.976
330-5.585
1/8-8.503
mph-85.05
1000-10.991
1/4-13.106
mph-106.74
done with mods in sig, good luck!
