Damn I can't believe I have missed out on this post. So what will the requirements be for the weight situation?

I personally think that AC, bumper supports and PS should not matter as long as it meets the photo friendly rule and weighs a minimum of 3200 or 3300 lbs.

Also if a car has a nitrous kit on it do they have to take it off to prove they are not using it or what? My DP kit doesnt just "come off" like most nitrous kits. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Bird...After debating it, we pretty much decided that the interior needed two seats, and had to be 'photo ready'. No set weight limit.

A/C, P/S, bumper supports can be removed if desired. I kind of wanted to keep the P/S, as I cannot take mine off (the pump also runs my brakes), but some folks already had a manual rack, so I gave a bit there, and they give a bit in other places.

The N2O thing could get dicey. I don't see a need to completely remove the system, but we will need to verify before each pass that there is no bottle in the car, etc.

hmm good point lol. I havent made it to the track at all since I have had the kit on the car. I will be ordering a Denny's Nitrous Ready shaft next week and getting some pro-stars with slicks soon as well. Once the car is ready I will take it to the track and spray the **** out of it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

If we can get 6-12 committed participants, perhaps I can propose a formal class for our little shootout? Don't know if the powers-that-be will go for it, but the worse they can do is say "no".

It would have to be a qualified ladder, and then eliminations, but this could really work to our advantage. Here's what I mean....

You would essentially have the class winner from eliminations, and the "winner" of the ET race. This could be the same person, or quite possibly 2 different people. The person with the quickest ET from either qualifying or eliminations gets the title of "Bolt-on Champ" or whatever, and all the bragging rights to go with it. The guy that wins the eliminations, wins the class (and trophy or $$$ to go along with it).

Oh..."guy" could also be "gal"....don't wish to appear sexist. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Whadda ya think? Again, I'll have to petition the organizers, but I can do that with a formal proposal, and also an offer to help tech/police it (would need some help from an LS1 guy or two).

Bob, I thought you'd already petitioned Tom for that class. I E-mailed him privately and he said he wasn't sure there would be time, but he would see. He had to get with the operators of the track. I sure hope a class can be created. That'd be cool.
