lol f#ck all that. a/c stays in no matter how fast i wanna go. i'll spray a 300 shot before i remove my a/c.

you're nuts. you're in mi too though, that helps live with that mod. anyone would have to be out of their f'in minds to do that in texas.

good luck w/your times tho, 52lbs might yield you some results.

You won't see anyone doing that in Vegas, unless you own lot's of Right Guard! How many pounds was the sway bar?

I thought you were going to say you were on the Atkins diet. It doesn't matter where you lose it...the car or your ***....52 lbs is still a faster trap speed.

Dang, thats a lot of weight. The swaybar weighs about 5 pounds and isn't worth removing if you're looking to lose weight. It will help with weight transfer in letting your suspension travel farther. 52 pounds off the front of your car is the equivalant to 104 pounds because its off the front of the car. Expect alot of front end lift when at the track.

Now that the A/C is gone, you can run the heater inside the cab to help keep the engine cool and make even more power!

FEROCITY02-removing the ac was nothing. took about 40-45min and never even had to remove the radiator. i put everything on a scale to check weight.TOMASS-the sway was 10lbs w/3more lbs of brackets and such. i never use the air so having it was just wasted weight, and the summer in michigan has not been hot.(good race weather) humm....abs might be next. thanks, mike c.

I knew it was more than just a mere 5 pounds...13+ pounds is CLEARLY worth it in my opinion, even without the weight/load transfer benefits thrown in.

so far i have removed the A/C, front and rear bumper supports, front sway bar, spare and jack, back seats, misc. small stuff like the horn, etc., and replaced the heavy *** leather front seats with light weight race seats...best mod you can do is weight reduction in my opinion...it's free...next is lightweight brakes, chrome moly suspension, speed inc. carpet, draglite wheels, and removing the airbags...ABS is only a few pounds, but every little bit helps.

hahahaha i have a sunshield thingy you put in your winshield to block out the sun, AND i leave the windows cracked overnight, and my car STILL heats up past 100* during the day, easy. texas heat is no joke, and this summer has been mild LOL. i'll lose the back seats, ditch the airbags, lose the bumper supports, go for lightweight brakes, lightweight carpet, but never the a/c. i'll go on a liquid diet before that happens.

13 lbs. doesn't sound like a lot, but I guess it all adds up! I might remove the sway bar when I remove all the smog equipment with the header install.

ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR THIS? the 52lbs i took off my nose droped my e.t by 1.9 tenths. i ran almost .2 better with nothing but the weight reduction. my 60 foots were real close 1.72 to 1.70 and the weather was near the same 77 to 73deg. i'm going after k-members and fiber hood now.
