just lost 52lbs
I think that being safe in an accident is more important than 25lbs off my car, but maybe I'm different.
I like weight reduction more than most people but the potential damage/catastrophy that can result from not having the fornt (or even the back) supports in during a hard enough impact can be devastating.
I wonder exactly what removing the entire AIR and EGR systems are combined, could be some nice reduction there.
I would not do it on a daily driver.
Do not think I would ever feel good about loosing the rear one.

What did you do with all your old A/C stuff? Want to sell it.......?? I took mine out and lost it when i moved.... i thought i wouldntneed it but here in south Texas you need it..... it has ot go back on..... i have no front sway bar, and no front bumber support, but my pig has a iron block and a blower so shes over 3800 lbs so im not to worried about 30 more for A/C.
PM me if you do.
Thanks
Kyle
The A/C thing is also funny since mine gets alot of use up here in NY. And not just cause it's hot. Tell me something guys, what happens when it's raining on a humid day? Your windows fog up. So if it's 80* out and pouring you can't see out of the windows unless you blast the defroster with the heat on. Sounds like fun for a whopping 20-30 lbs of A/C stuff.
What makes the new muscle cars great is that you don't have to drive a shitbox to go fast. The !sway bar is cool and mine's out too. It gives you more of a gain than any other wieght reduction because it allows the front end to rise when launching. My rear seats and belts/jack and spare (I got AAA) are out aswell. Car weighs 3550 with me and a 1/4 on the stock 16" wheels. I'm not taking out the bumpers or the A/C and race wheels are just that RACE wheels. If the car ever becomes an all out race car than that stuff and alot more will go, but not until then.

Your opinion is valued, but you don't need to be getting salty with folks over their choice to remove weight from their cars.
If trying to tell guys that keeping the bumpers might save their lives is getting salty than so be it.
The A/C is not only for comfort but it too has a safety value. Clear, unfogged windows.
Light weight RACE wheels. What else is there to say.
Nothing, so I'll keep my "valued" opinion to myself.

I used to have a car with no AC and the defroster worked just fine without the AC condenser.
I would never take the bumper support out if it was a daily driver.
Have we all forgotten the old days? Carrying a rag, napkins or paper towels to keep the windows clear? Don't need those if ya got A/C. Well, not unless you're parked for a while and hot breaths are steaming up the windows.

So by a show of hands, who here lives in a house with no A/C?
I know there's different strokes for different folks and I'm cool with that, but !30 lbs isn't worth it to me and seems like quite alot of other folks. I guess if your car's a race car or what not, then ditch the A/C. But there's nothing funnier than getting stuck in the staging lanes, on a hot summer day, cause someone dumped something on the track and watching the race car boys sitting there sweating their ball$ off. But that might not affect the guys who don't race their cars in the summer months. I drive/race my cars year round.
What makes these cars great is that they run like a raped ape and you can still enjoy all those wonderful accessories. .03-.05 slower to sweat my ball$ off? LOL
Hope that wasn't too salty cause it wasn't meant to be.
Unlike the guys using ice bags on their intakes or the FWD morons who go through the water box so they can do a burnout in preparation for their 16 sec run.
