cant speak for how the nittos hook but with my BFG's I was able to hold it at about 5000 and come off the clutch very aggressively while flooring it... one of 2 things would happen either it would spin and the run is over, or it would hook and the clutch would slip just a little and go
another thing I notice that lots of people overlook is actually walking out to the line.... feel it out and find the groove try to line yourself up in the sticky spots....

YOU NEED TO RIDE THE CLUTCH FOR THE BEST LAUNCH IN A M6. REV IT TO ABOUT 1 1/2 RPMS AND RIDE THE CLUTCH SLOW AS YOU RIDE THE CLUTCH FLOOR THE GAS EVEN WITH THE CLUTCH.

I launch anywhere from 3800-4200 with a quick dump of the clutch. The rpms depend on the track and the prep

This is really track dependant. Our local track just won't allow a good run to come from a stock Ls1 clutch dump. We need to slip the clutch. In my 00 WS6(power basically stock) with ET streets @ 22psi, a 4000+ rpm dump will hook really well but then fall on its face and bog. This is mostly likely caused by the lack of 4.10s. A few of my buds have stock 99-00 GTs and don't bog but their trannys are geared lower too. Try this: bring the rpms up to 2000 and when you let the clutch out don't dump it or sideset it. Just raise your foot straight up while slightly increasing pressure to the throttle, this will let the rpms stay up and not bog down. Careful though doing this isn't great for clutch life, but until you upgrade the clutch and rear-end it will suffice.

After a long burnout on the nittos, I could dump the clutch at 4grand and get a 1.92 60ft time. The tires didnt spin but the clutch would slip a little and hold the engine at 4000rpms.

Race weight was 3600 pounds and had 3.42 gears. With less weight and a new clutch some 1.80s short times would be possible. Also, I dont have the drill out mod so dumping the clutch didnt shock the tires that much.

do a good burnout. if you dont see smoke , keep them burning. After heating , pull up close to the line & stop, put the car in neutral and pump the clutch peddle about 5 times to build holding pressure and then stage. bring rpms to about 4000 and dump but do not stab the throttle in one motion . let the car jump out a little( NOT TO MUCH) and just as it starts to nose over while holding your throttle at 4000 rpms , hammer on it. this is easier on the rearend and pull good 60 fts. this works great on the street to but not as high of a launch. I can leave at 3500 on a cement interstate and leave real good. times in sig are on Nittos 245/50/16
