I was gonna get some, but wasn't sure if the welded roll cage does what the subframes would do.

Is it pointless to do subframes with a cage?

I think you should, IMO. In fact, I'd get the subs and have the rear of the cage (behind the seat) welded through the floor and into the subs.

Rock solid!

I have a 6 point custom in my vert and did forgo the the sub-frame connectors, I didnt see the need with the 6 point. With a cage it keeps you flat and solid. Just my $.02

You definetly need subframes. The cage IF properly installed SHOULD be welded to the subframes.

Just wondering - If the cage is attached to the subframe connectors, would that require a custom cage versus a wolfe cage?

I would. In many cases roll bars are not attached to the subframe of our cars.

The wolfe can be welded to the rear of the subframe where the main hoop sits on the floor.
