Default Lightweight carpet kicks ***!

Just got it installed w/ my roll cage. Not a perfect fit, some trimming was needed, but it looks good and doesn't weigh squat!!

Shipping weight was 19lbs, and after removing the sound deadening it was closer to 10-12lbs.

The lightweight carpet with no sound deadening doesn't seem any louder to me than when I had stock carpet with sound deadening.

No brainer 20-25lb weight loss. Great mod.

Thanks to Speed Inc!

Agreed! I didn't install mine yet, but I took it out of the box and have it opened up on my basement floor. Looks great, can't wait to install it!

I just installed one with a cage as well not long ago there is no way there is even 5lbs of sound deadening material.I think the shipping weight was 19 lbs but I cant see that deading weighing at the absolute most 4lbs and thats being generous. The fit was pretty great as stated above just needed some trimmed along the sides. It looks great.Indeed a no brainer though.Speed Inc had the special 260 free shipping.

This was using a ghetto fabulous scale, so I could be off a bit....but whats a few pounds between friends? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I am about to order this carpet, but I have a quick question. Does the cut carpet come with those big holes where the rear bottom cushions went? I don't have my rear seats anymore, and I really hate the massive amount of orange showing through my carpet. Thanks!

I got mine uncut.

Since it serves no purpose, I didn't know if they included that or not.

IF you look real closely at the pic above you will see the two bumps where the rear seat mounts are. This is the uncut version. The only cut is for the console.

Correction: the version in the pic is cut Uncut is as TTR stated no holes at all.The cut version is cut only for the console and nowhere else, the rear seat mounts will be covered.Sorry for the above mis-info.

I like mods with no other downsides. How much exactly does the stock carpet and sound deadening weigh?

Kenny- I weighed my carpet right out of the box, it weighs 20lbs exactly on my house scale.

Moose- The GP ended on 12/11/02. I would still call Jon @ Speed Inc. and see what he can do for you.
