i just read the 12's bone stock M6, post, and boy am i depressed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
heres my stats-

98 Z28 M6, 50k (when i ran my best), car seems in perfect condition, excluding the tires
245/50/16 CompTA ZR's, removed air filter
13.529 @ 105.59- 2.146 shorty, at MMP in dec W/ high 50's temp and very low humidity

my habits- shift into 2nd at 5600, redline going into 3rd and 4th, and takeoff from idle (only way with those tires to avoid too much spining). dont know how to power shift either

only changes to car since then are the addition of taller tires (i know, big mistake). 275/40/18's in the rear, about 1.1" taller
they are quite stickier though, i can now actually bring the tach up to about 2500 and let it out, and hook up better than the Comps did from idle

so, anyone wanna give me any tips on how to get more appropriate times out of this LS1?
or is my car just a bit worn out?
i need more track time, but need a few pointers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Your car is runnin alright. You need to get a better launch and raise the shift points as close to the rev limiter as possible.
