Well I installed the Kooks 1 7/8 stepped to 2" headers yesterday and went to the track today. I had FLP's on before. This was all 1/8 mile. Raceweight was about 3500 lbs.

Previous best was:
60' 1.58
1/8 7.19
mph 94.8

Today I went:
60' 1.59
1/8 7.00
MPH 99.8

I made about 8 passes and all were from 7.09 to 7.00. I picked up 5 mph and 1.9 tenths in the 1/8th. I was very happy with the results.

Those are great results.How was the DA as compared to your previous best?

 

A little worse than before. Last time it was about 0 and this time about 400.

+5mph in the 1/8th from a header swap?!?!?! That's insane if that was the only change. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Maybe I need to get the 1.75" Dynatech headers swapped out on my car!

 

Yep, that was THE ONLY thing changed. Setup is just a basic 422, R1 cam, TH400, 3400 converter.

Nice gains. Obviously these headers are too much for a 346ci car..
