Default It sure gets slow in here this time of year...

Few racetracks are open, and the ones that are open are only running TNT events.

I don't know about all the other facilities around, but racing around here gets started up mid February, but nothing at my home track (Gainesville), until April (after the Gatornationals).

The NHRA Division 2 ET finals are in Gainesville this year, so I'm going to run for points this year and hopefully be able to race in the division finals...

I've been pretty bored lately, and I'm ready to get the car back together and do some bracket racing!

George I feel your pain.

I have not raced since December 18th and it is killing me.

With wrestling season winding down racing is starting to be on my mine all the time. I even started last week to get in my 100 light on my practice tree everyday.

This year Iam going to run for points at Houston Raceway Park(NHRA) and Lone Star Raceway Park(IHRA) to try and make both bracket finals.

Good Luck to ya George this season and I hope we both get our Hot Rods running soon.

Up here in Chicago tracks really try to open at the end of March but really we don't get going until the end of April.

I barely raced in 2002 due to the improperly installed reluctor wheel on my crankshaft so I'm sick of NOT racing and driving my stupid TAHOE all the time.

I know what you mean George, the air has been great out here but we are waiting on a intake that was supposed to be ready 5 weeks ago
I can't wait to get back out there and see if we can destroy another oilpan

I'll agree with that George. April 5th can't come soon enough, and although I'm a bit bummed about the finals being 1/8 mile again at least they are in Gainesville!

The track in Cincinnati opens late February here. If the temps and snow keep up like they have though, we may not be racing until July. LOL

It been too cold the past two weeks to even get the heater going in the garage to warm it up.

We have to wait until April 5th in Pittsburgh. November - April is a long time. With our luck, it will probably rain. Last year our track didn't open until June...

Of course, we have out rainy season here in Florida as well, but it usually comes around June-July.

I have family in Florida. I cam down last year for 3 weeks around July 4th and I swear it rained every day for the better part of the day. Every time I passed a sign saying the "Sunshine State" I commented, "My *** its the Sunshine State". I will be down again this year and hopefully will be towing my car down to have some fun at Sunshine Raceway and Bradenton...

I think the only guys that have any kinda good racing weather this time of year are the AZ. guys!

I went to Mesa last winter to visit some friends and they got 4 strips out there open year round!

It was in the 70's last year at this time when I was out there, which is great compared to my 0* with a -12* windchill factor here!
